About Us
Our Principles
- By minimising our overheads we aim to use virtually all the money we raise to support the children and orphans.
- We will only support orphanages, clinics and pre-schools for infants and younger children where we know that the staff are dedicated and that the money they receive is spent on the children and for the direct benefit of the children

- We provide periodic support for the education of some older children including some who attend State Schools
- We provide periodic support for deaf children
- We provide some support for health education programmes that are aimed at, or benefit , children and seek to support the work of the clinics involved
Trustees
Logo
Our logo is based on two toys that children play with in Burma, the owl and the pyit-tain-taun.
The pyit-tain-taun always bounces back when you knock it over, illustrating the resilience of the people of Burma, and the owl has a slot in its head for money, because without your donations we cannot help the children in need!
Staff
There are no paid staff
Volunteer Organisation
The fund is run entirely by its very small volunteer committee
Expenses
We have few overheads and expenses are kept to a minimum. Visitors to Burma pay for their own travel
Fund Raising
Currently most of our fund raising is undertaken by our committee members. We run an annual golf day which is one of our main fund raising activities. Committee members give talks about our charity and we periodically sell greetings cards which are designed by one of our committee. We also run a number of one-off events
We want to thank those individuals who have already initiated fund raising events
We welcome support from anyone who is willing to help the children in Burma by organising their own Fund Raising Events
Why Children?
They are the innocent victims of the adult problems. They are too young to help themselves and need the support of adults to care for them and to run the nurseries, pre-schools and orphanages that feed, clothe and educate them. The children are the future of Burma, and hopefully one day they will become people who can give back to their country and strengthen it.
Who we Support – We are describing the support we give in general terms
How we Support
Before we send funds we try to get feedback from trusted sources to check that the staff members are dedicated and that any money will be used wisely and for the benefit of the children.
Once we have provided support we often receive photographs and positive reports about the impact that the funds have had on the lives of the children.
